Situated in the 450 acre private Lower Mill Estate near the village of Somerford Keynes, it is within the Cotswold Water Park (with separate lakes for all water sports) and only six miles from the Roman town of Cirencester and the Saxon town of Cricklade.

The cottage, with a south-westerly rear aspect, is situated on the edge of Somerford Lagoon with uninterrupted views across the lake which is renown in the south west of England for wintering wildfowl.

From the decking area at the rear of the cottage, steps lead down to a pontoon from which you can launch your own small boat or canoe. Power boats are not permitted on the peaceful Somerford Lagoon but are catered for in nearby lakes outside the Estate.

The river Thames flows 20 yards from the front door and there is a path to the source of the Thames near the village of Kemble.

The village of Somerford Keynes is a short walk away with an excellent pub and restaurant.
